Hatteras SQ-WEAVE-FLAX Soft Weave Flax Woven - Large Quilted Hammock was created for optimal comfort. With a SoftWeave hammock, quilted fabric strips are intertwined in the style of quality wicker furniture, creating an attractive checkerboard pattern. The results is not only a sense of heightened padding for the customer, but also a boost in the overall sturdiness of the hammock body.
Fabric is rough. Quilted Hatteras hammock in green/linen stripe is softer to the touch. Straps are stitched together every 3rd or 4th row, so fabric does not have much "give." Flax color has greenish tint-not the taupe/oatmeal color I expected.

We received the product quickly and on time, all in one group. We took it home and began assembly. Reading the previous review, I was nervous about things being there. We checked the inventory list and everything was accounted for in the hardware, however, there were 4 galvanized 3/8 x 10" carriage bolts missing, which were essential for assembly of the frame to the base beams. Fortunately Home Depot was open and I was able to get the bolts I required. My son assembled the structure (very large and impressive, 19' in length!) but his comments, without reading the previous review, were that all the holes were misaligned and had to really manouver things to fit in.All in all it is impressive, but if you order this, be aware of the potential for missing parts. I you are Hateras and reading this, please ship the missing bolts to your retailers so they can include them and reduce the inconvenience to the customer.

Don't be fooled by the sturdy look of this product. Pieces fit loosly together and rust began appearing after about 12 weeks of use. If I had to do it all over again, I definately wouldn't stop looking here.

Beautiful and comfy but stretches and now I touch the stand with my back. think can fix by shortening all the knots but what a chore. would buy again but wish were shorter.

Please be aware that since this frame is made of 100% Siberian Larch Hardwood, not Pine, it it HEAVY. Pine is a soft wood much lighter in weight and less durable and less weather resistant. Siberian Larch Hardwood is imported from Russia and is extremely durable and ideally suited for outdoor furniture. Some homes and churches in Russia built of Siberian Larch Hardwood are estimated to have been in existence for over 800 years. In Russia, it is referred to as "The Tree of Eternity". Assembly of this Hardwood Hammock Stand works much better with two people. Tools required are two (2) 9/16" wrenches and a hammer. As with any fine hardwood outdoor furniture, at least twice a year all wood parts must be completely wiped down with good quality Teak Oil or Linseed…
With a little help, I was able to put this together in about half an hour. The wood got a little dinged up during shipping, but not too bad. I'm not holding out much hope for the actual hammock. I bought this for the wooden stand mostly. The hammock itself is a single layer of cotton cloth, and probably won't withstand more than a couple weeks in the elements, I'm betting. I applied a coating of teak oil as soon as I got it all assembled, and I intend to do that twice a season. The hammock stand is quite heavy and substantial, so be aware that you'll probably need some help moving it around your lawn when it comes time to mow, etc. It looks great in my back yard!

I bought this hammock and stand as a gift for my husband's birthday. He loves it! He spends a lot of time relaxing, reading, and sleeping in it. It was the perfect gift. The 15 ft stand is very sturdy. My only complaint would be that it takes up a lot of room. Otherwise the quality is very good. My husband wished that it would have come with a pillow.

The stand works very well. It's very strong and sturdy, and has no problem supporting 2 adults (and an occasional child!). The color is beautiful and rich. We're loving it!

I ordered this item several weeks ago and had to return it. The wood is beautiful. However, the instructions were not clear and assembly was incredibly complicated. Whenever you are dealing with wood furniture, you need to factor in a margin of error. The hammock stand requires you to push 6 inch bolts through three thick pieces of wood. The holes did not line up perfectly no matter how many times I tried to assemble it. I had to take it apart and re-assemble and each time, the holes would not line up perfectly. Therefore, I returned it. Keep in mind, returning an item like this is not easy. I had to take it back to a UPS store and carefully place all of the wood pieces back in the box. The entire package weighed in excess of a hundred pounds. It took me over an hour and thirty dollars in supplies to re-package the item for shipment back to Amazon. Thankfully, Amazon processed the return and refunded my money. However, this was an incredibly frustrating ordeal. If you want a hammock like this, I suggest you go to a retail store and pay the premium to have them deliver and assemble the hammock for you. I would also advise sticking with a name brand hammock like Pawleys. Do not buy this one.

The previous reviews were so polarized in relation to this item, that I definitely hesitated ordering. With this review, I hope to give a fair take on the item addressing other reviewers concerns, as well as factors that I would have like to have known in relation to placing the order.First, I would have given the item itself 5 stars; however, I deducted a star based on my comments under the Packaging section below.Shipment fulfillment: We ordered this item shortly after Father's Day and it arrived in July. We were notified immediately upon placing the order that the item would not ship until July. (I am guessing perhaps they were out of stock given the recent holiday.) If you are ordering for a special occasion, you might consider placing your ordering sooner than later. Overall, I was not disappointed with fulfillment because I was notified immediately that it would be a while before it shipped.Packaging: The company does need to seriously consider how they ship this item and I have left separate packaging feedback. Currently the item ships in one large box that was pretty much destroyed by the time it reached our doorstep. As a result of this fact, all of the assembly hardware was missing. I wrote an email via the manufacturer's website and received reply within the same business day and all of the parts arrived via FedEx that same week. Great customer service; however, shipping the item in two boxes, with ALL of the assembly hardware shipping in its own box would be my advice.…
